Stopped in the Hayes

After watching the Laker game (CHAMPIONS!!) at my friend Ali's apartment last night, I was walking home and decided to make a right into Hayes Valley. I stopped at a convenient store for some bubble gum and a man with a Nikon in-hand, started snapping photos. At first, I was a bit reluctant because he didn't ask to take my picture but his charming flattery made me crack a smile, so I didn't mind giving the kind gentleman a pose or two.
Jerry Brown is his name and photography is his game!
~Thanks for sending the photos Jerry :)

Adventures of she*rise & jessy cain

Last Monday, Sherise and I had quite the adventure while making our way to a design studio in North Beach. We started with brunch at Cafe De La Presse, located at the gates of Chinatown, for bloody marys and quiche, then decided to take the China route to Little Italy, also known as, North Beach. The day was grey and the wind was brisk, when all of a sudden we were stopped by a sign, "Free Tea Tasting!" John, the owner of Vital Tea's in Chinatown, lured us in with his pervertedly witty, yet charming personality. We were seated at the tea bar and welcomed with a warm cup of oolong. Johns flirtatious and informative narratives, accompanied each herbal tea test and he had us cracking up for a solid hour. We left with a bag of the "Gigolo Tea," which came with his mobile # and an uplifting ginseng high.

UPDATE! UPDATE!

Alright, it's been a while since I've updated The Pacific Muse, so I'm going to keep the comments short and sweet. I'll be updating more often since my life isn't overwhelmed with school. I hope you enjoy my street chic fashion photos.
xoxo

Once again, my ultimate Pacific Muse Evie*Metal won me over with her vampire heroin chic look. Mind you this was taken about four months ago at her bon voyage gathering, which was thrown by another inspirational fashionista Zana Bayne.

A magical day at the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park.

San Francisco "hipster" house parties are a gold mine for (some) fashion bloggers.

Vintage studded jacket worn by Jessica. Thankfully, Jessica and I are friends, so she wasn't too freaked out when I followed her outside the Matador for a smoke and started snapping photos of her dope downtown duds.

If you're ever making your way up to Northern California, take a Sunday drive over the Golden Gate Bridge and head to Sam's in Tiburon. The ocean front bar/resturante has an unforgettable view of the bay, the best Bloody Marys and a delicious crab sandwich, yum!
Ashley's wearing the "Sam Ronson outfit," which is perfect considering we just came from the Castro, however I must note that the "boyfriend jean" trend is partially inspired by Ms. Ronson's effortless laid back look. Of course the cherry red Hermes messenger bag must get a righteous shout out..pure envy.

Macys Passport Fashion Show '08

The Macy's Passport Fashion show at Fort Mason was extremely entertainig. I had a fantastic time with my co-worker, designer and good friend, Sherise. This photo was taken after the show while mingling with the models.

El Mission, San Francisco, California

I was hanging with some friends at Elbow Room on 18th and Valencia in the Mission District and my eyes were immediately drawn to these sequined/rhinestone encrusted cocktail dresses. Definitely vintage pieces but as you can tell from the photos, these mini frocks look like they were made for these ladies.
